Author Notes - Many of the requirements have the scout to "Make" or "Display" something. (I listed a few here, but there are many more I didn't list.) Any of these things would be great to show and tell about during Cub Pack Meeting. (Especially the meeting where they receive the award earned from their actions.) - Many of the requirements have the scout "Tell" their Den about something, but in most cases the Pack could be substituted instead. - Cub Scout Pack is also a great time for a Cub Scout to tell the other Scouts in the Pack about something he did or learned while completing the requirements for a badge. (This helps the other boys see how much fun it is and also how easy it can be.) Wolf 2b) Lead a flag ceremony in your den. 2f) Participate in an outdoor flag ceremony. Wolf Electives 2) BE AN ACTOR (Page 118) 4f) Play a wide-area or large group game with your den or pack. 9a) Help with a home or den party. 10a) Read a book or tell a story about American Indians, past or present. 11f) Sing a song with your den at a pack meeting. 12f) Make a poster for a Cub Scout project or a pack meeting. 14c) Read a book about a pet and tell about it at a den meeting. 18b) With an adult, help plan and run a family or den outing. 18c) Help plan and lay out a treasure hunt something like this. 18d) Help plan and lay out an obstacle race. 18e) Help plan and lay out an adventure trail. 18f) Take part in two summertime pack events with your den. 23c) Tell a short story to your den, your den leader, or an adult. 23g) Participate with your den at a campfire in front of your pack. 23h) With your den or pack or family, participate in a worship service outdoors. Every project you do counts as one requirement Here are some ideas for art projects: 11C1) Mount a picture on cardboard for display. 12b) Make a display of eight different animal tracks with an eraser print. 12f) Collect, mount, and label ten kinds of rocks or minerals. 12g) Collect, mount, and label five kinds of shells. 13b) With your den, put on a magic show for someone else. 14c) Take part in a project with your family, den, or pack to make your neighborhood or community more beautiful. 16c) Read a book about farm animals and tell your den about it. 18c) Plan an outdoor game or gym day with your den. (This can be part of a pack activity). Put your plans on paper. 21a) Take part in a council- or pack-sponsored, money-earning sales program. 21b) Help with a garage sale or rummage sale. This can be with your family or a neighbor, or it can be a church, school, or pack event. 22b) Mount and display a collection of emblems, coins, or other items to show at a pack meeting. 24b) Learn, make equipment for, and play two American Indian or other native American games with members of your den. 24c) Make a model of one of these shelters, historic or modern. 25c) Participate with your den in front of the pack at a campfire. 25d) Participate with your pack on an overnight campout. Webelos Activity Badges Artist 3) Draw or paint an original picture out-of-doors, using the art materials you prefer. Frame the picture for your room or home. Showman 5) Alone or with the help of others, put on a puppet show for your den or pack. 6) With the help of three other den members, sing a song with the puppets as the performers. 9) Sing one song indoors and one song outdoors, either alone or with a group. 16) Give a monologue (a talk) 19) Write, put on, and take part in a one-act play. Citizen 8) At a Webelos den meeting, talk about the service project Good Turn that you did. Communicator 1) Play the Body Language Game with your den. 8) Write an article about a den activity for your pack newsletter or web site, your local newspaper, or your school newsletter, newspaper, or Web site. Craftsman 3) Make a display stand, or box to be used to display a model or an award. Or make a frame for a photo or painting. Naturalist 4) Visit a museum of natural history, nature center, or zoo with your family, Webelos den, or pack. Tell what you saw. Mathematics Pin I3) Study geometry in architecture by exploring your neighborhood or community. Look at different types of buildings-houses, churches, businesses, etc.-and create a presentation that you can share with your den or pack to show what you have seen and learned about shapes in architecture. II1) Learn how an abacus or slide rule works and teach it to a friend or to your den or pack. III2) Conduct an opinion survey through which you collect data to answer a question, and then show your results with a chart or graph. For instance: What is the favorite food of the Cub Scouts in your pack. Music Pin 1) Make a musical instrument and play it for your family, den, or pack. 2) Teach your den a song. Wildlife Conservation Belt Loop 3) Make a report to your den that includes a picture, how the species came to be endangered, and what is being done to save it.
